Chairman & President
Evan Segal
Evan J. Segal is a business leader, philanthropist, angel investor, social entrepreneur, author and adjunct professor. He was the President/ Owner of Dormont Manufacturing Company, the inventor and world's largest manufacturer of flexible stainless steel gas appliance connector. After a successful exit, Mr. Segal served as the Chief Financial Officer at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Nominated by President Obama and confirmed unanimously by the United States Senate, Mr. Segal also served on The White House Innovation and Information Policy Task Force and was the Co-Chair of the Federal CFO Council.
In addition to leading The Segal Family Foundation, Evan serves as Founder & General Partner of Segal Ventures, Co-Founder of The 412 Venture Fund, Founder of Kiva Pittsburgh and Venture For America Pittsburgh. He is also the author of "From Local To Global: Smart Management Lessons To Grow Your Business" and regularly speaks on Leadership and Management. Mr. Segal graduated from the CMU Tepper School of Business with a B.S. and a MBA.
TRACY SEGAL
Known for her creativity and big heart, Tracy has leveraged her design acumen and organizational skills to execute special events for select nonprofit organizations. As an avid advocate for progressive causes, Tracy has worked with political campaigns to host fundraising events for highly respected leaders, including President Barack Obama, Secretary John Kerry, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Governor Howard Dean, Senator Bob Casey, Rep. Mikie Sherrill (NY-11) and State Senator Alessandra Biaggi (NY-34). Tracy has always been an ardent proponent of female equality in all areas (legal, healthcare, business, political), encouraging innovative approaches to help women gain their rights and positions so often denied in a patriarchal world. Tracy attended Chatham College in its feminist heyday and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

Marla Werner
Marla Werner comes to The Segal Family Foundation with over 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, strategic growth planning, community partnership and development. Marla has worked with both non-profit organizations and for-profit businesses, creating sustainable growth strategies that empower organizations to reach their highest potential. Marla also runs Givver, a philanthropic matchmaking network that fosters relationships, ensures equity and sparks joy for both nonprofit organizations and charitable donors. Our everyday work is as consultants in two verticals – philanthropic advising and nonprofit growth strategies. Prior to her current positions, Marla has held director level positions at the Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh, The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Morgantown and Pittsburgh.

Kaileigh Payne
As a consultant for The Segal Family Foundation , Kaileigh provides strategic growth consulting for nonprofits and advising for philanthropists. Kaileigh holds a Bachelors degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
Vice Presidents
Ariel Segal Eck
As Managing Director of Segal Ventures, Ariel invests in emerging female venture capital fund managers and founders that are achieving above market returns and making a positive impact on the world. Prior to joining Segal Ventures, Ariel led marketing at technology startups like Foursquare, GoPro and PureWow. She holds an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Psychology from Georgetown University.
Tess SEGAL
Tess currently works in interiors at Tina Rich Design. Before moving into design, Tess led marketing teams at companies including Shopify, Soko Glam, Lancome USA, Siegel+Gale and the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Tess holds a degree from The New York School of Interior Design, as well as an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in History from The George Washington University.
Christopher Eck
At Google, Chris leads global cross-functional teams to solve for customers’ biggest challenges. Previously, Chris worked at NBC and PWC. He played professional lacrosse for 7 years on the Boston Canons and on Team USA in 2017. Chris holds an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business and a Bachelors degree from Colgate University. Chris partners with the Faceoff Academy to mentor young lacrosse players, and serves on the board for the Haudenosaunee Nationals Development Group and Team USA’s High Performance Committee.
